Find Out What's Happening in Your Town
If you are interested in finding out what is really happening in your town, contact your town clerk and ask for the name and email of the person in charge of disseminating public records. Be advised that public records requests in Massachusetts are governed by General Law Chapter 66 as well as Code of Massachusetts Regulations 950 CMR 32.00. The following questions submitted to the person in charge of public records in your town will help you and others assess the situation realistically, and understand where we are today and why. For instance, we found out that there were more deaths in Great Barrington, MA in 2017 than there were in 2020.

- How many PCR testing locations does our town have, where are they, and what cycle threshold are the tests being processed at, and how are they preventing cases from being counted more than once per person?
- How many vaccine locations are there, where are they located, and specifically what type of vaccines are they administering?

Track Down 5G and Telecom in Your Town
Questions to ask your town clerk (she will direct you to the person you need to speak with) addressing strategies to ensure we sustain our historic resources, scenic views, agriculture, property values, wildlife, and our natural and man-made resources in regards to incoming telecom expansions. All these questions are vital in maintaining a healthily community and in protecting your town both legally and environmentally.

- Does our town have any protection, location restrictions, permits, approvals, property, or liability insurances in place in regards to telecom developments?
- Do we have a projected timeline for the installation of 5G?
- Is there a public record/map for the projected installation locations and type of anticipated installation?
- Do we have any opt out provisions?
- When was the last time the town updated its code regarding wireless telecommunications facilities?
- Is the town aware of the safer and faster fiber optic solutions for connectivity?
- Do we or will we utilize any monitoring of the EMF radiation emitted from existing sites or future placements?
- Does our town assess application fees to cover our costs of processing, reviewing evaluating, conducting public hearings, and other activities involved in consideration of each small cell installation to ensure compliance with zoning requirements?
- Does our town utilize removal and restoration bonds, maintenance bonds, and compliance bonds to cover any issues from these small cell installations?
