Does the Benefit Outweigh the Harm?
Studies show that masks/facial coverings do little to nothing to prevent viral transmission, but chronic mask wearing does have risks that may lead to lung damage and pathological consequences from inhaled mask fibers, aggravation of asthma, "mask mouth" (tooth decay, gum line recession and potent bad breath), hypoxia-related complaints such as fatigue, headaches, shortness of breath, and anxiety, concentration of viruses in the nasal passages where they can enter the olfactory nerves and travel into the brain, frequent touching of your face and mask which can lead to increase the infection risk, and more.
German Neurologist Dr. Margarite Griesz-Brisson MD, PhD, a Consultant Neurologist and Neurophysiologist with a PhD in Pharmacology, with special interest in neurotoxicology, environmental medicine, neuroregeneration, and neuroplasticity, warns us that wearing face masks can cause oxygen deprivation and permanent neurological damage (especially for kids). She states "The reinhalation of our exhaled air will without a doubt create oxygen deficiency and a flooding of carbon dioxide. We know that the human brain is very sensitive to oxygen deprivation. There are nerve cells for example in the hippocampus that can't be longer than 3 minutes without oxygen - they cannot survive. The acute warning symptoms are headaches, drowsiness, dizziness, issues in concentration, slowing down of reaction time - reactions of the cognitive system."
“Soothing Symptoms of Anxiety” with Graphene Oxide; It’s in Millions of Masks. This is Not a Joke; It’s Real, By Jon Rappoport
8/30/21 - On April 2, 2021, Health Canada issued an advisory, warning people not to “use face masks labelled to contain graphene or biomass graphene.” Andrew Maynard covers this issue in a medium.com article, “Manufacturers have been using nanotechnology-derived graphene in face masks—now there are safety concerns.” Those concerns? Masks could create lung problems. Maynard’s article traces the safety concerns to a Chinese mask manufacturer, Shandong, but points out that millions of graphene-containing masks are in use around the world, produced by a whole host of companies. Great Barrington Resident Blocked from Speaking Against Student Masking at Berkshire Hills Meeting
8/27/21 - A fight raging at school board meetings nationwide played out in the Berkshires Thursday after a resident sent school officials a notice saying that their masking mandates for children to curb the spread of COVID-19 is possibly unhealthy and could be a violation of human rights under the Nuremberg Code. Great Barrington resident Dattatreya Haynes had suggested in his email that, at the least, masking mandates should be suspended pending more studies of the risks and benefits. But officials blocked Haynes from speaking during a public comment period at the Berkshire Hills Regional School District’s School Committee’s meeting, held on Zoom, with 23 participants. READ MORE. The Case Against Masks for Children
8/8/21 - Do masks reduce Covid transmission in children? Believe it or not, we could find only a single retrospective study on the question, and its results were inconclusive. Yet two weeks ago the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sternly decreed that 56 million U.S. children and adolescents, vaccinated or not, should cover their faces regardless of the prevalence of infection in their community. Authorities in many places took the cue to impose mandates in schools and elsewhere, on the theory that masks can’t do any harm. That isn’t true. READ MORE
New Study Concludes Children Should Not Be Forced to Wear Face Masks
7/2/21 - A group of clinical researchers are urging policy-makers not to require children to wear face masks, after finding that such masks cause a rapid buildup of carbon dioxide in the air breathed in while wearing masks, reported Arutz Sheva‘s David Rosenberg. In a new study published by The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) entitled Experimental Assessment of Carbon Dioxide Content in Inhaled Air With or Without Face Masks in Healthy Children, Polish researchers found that within just three minutes, the level of carbon dioxide present in the air being breathed in by school children wearing masks was six times higher than the legal limit of 0.2% carbon dioxide by volume (2,000 parts per million), as set by the German Federal Environmental Office. In open-air settings, CO2 levels are about 0.04% by volume, or 400 parts per million. READ MORE
University of Florida Lab Finds Dangerous Pathogens on Children’s Face Masks
6/19/21 - A laboratory at the University of Florida that recently analyzed a small sample of face masks detected the presence of 11 dangerous pathogens on the coverings, including bacteria that cause diphtheria, pneumonia, and meningitis. Parents in Gainesville, Florida, who had concerns about the harm caused to their children wearing face masks throughout the school day in 90 degree Fahrenheit weather had sent the masks in for analysis. Federal Law Prohibits Mandates of Emergency Use COVID Vaccines, Tests, Masks — 3 Resources You Can Use to Inform Your School or Employer
5/18/21 - With more than 100 U.S. colleges mandating COVID vaccines for in-person attendance and schools enforcing mask mandates, it’s critical people understand their rights. The bottom line is this: mandating products authorized for Emergency Use Authorization status(EUA) violates federal law as detailed in the following legal notifications.
All COVID vaccines, COVID PCR and antigen tests, and masks are merely EUA-authorized, not approved or licensed, by the federal government. Long-term safety and efficacy have not been proven. EUA products are by definition experimental, which requires people be given the right to refuse them. Under the Nuremberg Code, the foundation of ethical medicine, no one may be coerced to participate in a medical experiment. Consent of the individual is “absolutely essential.” READ MORE
Graphene Masks: Why to Avoid Them & How to Identify Them
5/5/21 - One of the thinnest known materials and also one of the strongest, graphene is an almost mythical seeming material. It is used in everything from solar panels to DNA sequencing and can even replace Kevlar in bulletproof vests. Despite its usefulness and versatility, graphene is the latest warning in COVID safety with all graphene-containing masks being on recall. Today, we’re taking a look at what graphene is, why it's problematic for COVID face masks, and how you can identify graphene masks. In early April, Health Canada issued a recall due for graphene masks. Although the materials' antiviral and antibacterial properties may seem ideal for masks, their risks outweigh their benefits. Early research into these face masks indicates a significant risk factor for lung toxicity. Worn over the mouth and nose, there is a high risk of inhaling graphene particles that can damage the lungs and affect respiratory health. READ MORE
3 Million Masks a Minute: The Next Plastic Problem?
3/17/21 - Studies estimate worldwide humans are using 129 billion face masks each month. Most masks are disposable, made from plastic microfibers that are not biodegradable and may fragment into smaller plastic particles polluting ecosystems. Masks are littering cities, clogging sewage channels and turning up in bodies of water, prompting researchers to warn of the potential for masks to become the next “plastic problem.” Recent studies estimate that worldwide, humans are using 129 billion face masks each month — about 3 million a minute. Most of them are disposable face masks made from plastic, non-biodegradable microfibers that break down into smaller plastic particles — micro- and nanoplastics — that become widespread in ecosystems. Surgeon Destroys Myth: ‘If Masks Don’t Work, Why Do Surgeons Wear Them?’
3/10/21 - A response to people who use the classic fallacious argument, “Well, if masks don’t work, then why do surgeons wear them?” I’m a surgeon who has performed more than 10,000 surgical procedures wearing a surgical mask. However, that fact alone doesn’t really qualify me as an expert on the matter. More importantly, I am a former editor of a medical journal.I know how to read the medical literature, distinguish good science from bad, and fact from fiction. Believe me, the medical literature is filled with bad fiction masquerading as medical science. It is very easy to be deceived by bad science. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I’ve read hundreds of studies on the science of medical masks. Based on extensive review and analysis, there is no question in my mind that healthy people should not be wearing surgical or cloth masks. Nor should we be recommending universal masking of all members of the population. That recommendation is not supported by the highest level of scientific evidence. READ MORE
Wearing a Face Mask Can Increase Your Risk of Infections
5/20 - Oxygen levels drop when wearing a mask. A drop in oxygen levels (hypoxia), is associated with an impairment in immunity. Studies have shown that hypoxia can inhibit the type of main immune cells used to fight viral infections called the CD4+ T-lymphocyte. This occurs because the hypoxia increases the level of a compound called hypoxia inducible factor-1 (HIF-1), which inhibits T-lymphocytes and stimulates a powerful immune inhibitor cell called the T-regs. This sets the stage for contracting any infection, including COVID-19 and making the consequences of that infection much graver. In essence, your mask may very well put you at an increased risk of infections and if so, having a much worse outcome. In addition, reduced oxygenation can accelerate cancer growth. (1. Wearing a Face Mask Can Cause Headaches and Reduce Oxygen Levels
5/20 - A recent study involving 159 healthcare workers aged 21 to 35 years of age found that 81% developed headaches from wearing a face mask . . . That is, a reduction in blood oxygenation (hypoxia) or an elevation in blood CO2 (hypercapnia). It is known that the N95 mask, if worn for hours, can reduce blood oxygenation as much as 20%. And proper oxygenation of the blood is essential for energy, mental clarity, focus and emotional well-being. (Ong JJY et al. Headaches associated with personal protective equipment- A cross sectional study among frontline healthcare workers during COVID-19. Headache 2020;60(5):864-877.) READ MORE
3/4/20 - According to an article in JAMA, face masks should not be worn by healthy individuals to protect themselves from acquiring respiratory infection because there is no evidence to suggest that face masks worn by healthy individuals are effective in preventing people from becoming ill.
